Then the Lord spoke to Moses, “Go down at once, for your people, whom you brought up from the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves.” Exodus 32:7
Discerning Christians see all around them the evidence of a nation in moral decline: rampant divorce, high percentage of children born out of wedlock, extramarital sex (heterosexual and homosexual), the same-sex “marriage” revolution, along with a host of other symptoms of a society that has rejected God and His Word.
The question is, why are we where we are in America? While the above sin was certainly occurring in the 1950s, along with others such as racial segregation, the widespread extent and approval of these sins over a relatively short amount of time has brought us to a place in this country that we’ve never seen.
Is the de-moralizing of America due to the influence of Hollywood and the media? The humanistic educational system? A compromising church? Or something else?
