Together 2016 is a large-scale event set for July 16 on the National Mall in Washington DC to “come together around Jesus in a counter-cultural moment of unity and love for each other.”
Evangelicals and Charismatics are invited. And so is Roman Catholic Pope Francis, who is slated to offer a video greeting.
Jesus prayed for His followers in John 17: that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You”
The unity that the Father has with the Son is based on single-mindedness of the gospel and sound doctrine. Any event that doesn’t clarify these only serves to confuse.
