Don’t reverse the Reformation. This is David Wheaton, host of The Christian Worldview.
It’s impossible to accurately address the Protestant Reformation without discussing the institution that was being “protested”—the Roman Catholic Church and its errant doctrines.
For example, on the crucial doctrine of justification, the Catechism of the Catholic Church states in paragraph 1992, “justification is conferred in Baptism.”
The Bible says, “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.”
Evangelicals should not unite with or affirm any church that teaches a false gospel of faith plus works for salvation.
