GUEST: Pastor Ken Smith
Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaint. 1 Peter 4:8-9
Last week on the program, Rosaria Butterfield shared her amazing journey to faith in Christ from being a lesbian activist professor of women’s studies specializing in queer theory at Syracuse University. You can read Rosaria’s story in her book, The Secret Thoughts of an Unlikely Convert.
The means God used to bring Rosaria to saving faith was through the hospitality of a local pastor named Ken Smith and his wife Floy. Ken wrote a letter to Rosaria about an op-ed she had written in the local paper criticizing Promise Keepers. Ken’s letter started a conversation with Rosaria, and soon the Smiths were inviting Rosaria into their home for meals, conversations … sharing the gospel.
Pastor Ken Smith will join us this weekend on The Christian Worldview to tell his perspective on the story with Rosaria and how Christians can revive the biblical practice of hospitality.
