It may be hard to believe but there was a time when the university campus was a place where Truth was sought and taught, where God and His Word were venerated. Elite colleges such as Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Oxford all had strong Christian underpinnings.
That is certainly not the case today. The college campus is the intellectual hub for all things God-rejecting in our society, from moral relativism to religious and ideological pluralism. The humanistic worldview that overwhelmingly characterizes the professors and administrators is passed on to malleable students who populate the classrooms and dorm rooms.
Is it any wonder why such a high percentage of teenagers who grow up in Christian families and churches go off to college and walk away from the faith they once professed? So, what to do about it?
