The covenant of marriage is the first human institution that God established. It is the fundamental building block of a stable society. The relational aspect reflects the relationship amongst the Trinity. Marriage is a model of Christ and His bride, the church.
Think marriage is important?
Three decisions make a God-glorifying marriage possible: Will you believe in Christ? Will you pursue Christlikeness? and will you obey Christ, with regard to the command for wives to submit to their husbands and husbands to love their wives as Christ loved the church.
And God promises His grace to do all three.
